My little infomercial man.
My son loves infomercials. In fact he memorizes the entire commercial and stores it away in his brain to be used later. Like when I'm cleaning the bathroom. "Mom, do you ever get tired of scrubbing bathrooms? Are your arms tired from the constant scrubbing and scraping? You need the ultrasonic scrubber only 19.95. If you call now you can receive a second ultrasonic scrubber absolutely free. You must be 18 or older to call." Or when I'm out pulling weeds. "Are you tired of bending and pulling weeds. You need the topsyturvey. You will never have to bend over again! You can simply walk right up to your topsyturvey and pick. It is the most amazing thing - really mom it is." Once I took him to the as seen on TV aisle at Walmart. You would have thought I'd given him the key to heaven with the awe on his face. "Do they have the slap chop? The ultimate brownie pan? How about the snuggie? Mom, mom look - the have the gopher!!! You don't even have to call now, you can just buy it! You really need the healtastic mom the bottoms of your feet are just like sandpaper you won't get a second one free though! Maybe he'll be the next Billy Mays?

From the Diva's mouth
Driving in the car just me and the diva out of the blue she says "mommy I love you, I don't want you to die." What in the world????? That's good honey, I don't want to die I say. "Can you have daddy die first? Because if you die first I would have to teach him how to cook and we would have burnt pancakes." Ah, now I know where I stand!

The teacher
I was helping out in my son's class yesterday and visiting with his teacher. She told me the cutest story about Big Brother so I have to share it! His teacher was going about her work while the class was busy when she had that feeling that someone was standing by her. When she turned around she saw my son right behind her. She moves away and continues working and he follows her staying just behind her. Finally she turns to him and asks "What are you doing?" His reply: "I just thought you would like to stand by your favorite student." When she was at a loss for words he continued. "I am your favorite student aren't I?" What could she say? Aren't kids great?!

Skipping School
So today I took the diva to the park to play with a bunch of other kids. She had a great time. In fact she was having so much fun we missed preschool. She didn't realize she had missed school until it was time to pick up big brother. Tears streaming down her cheeks she looks at me and says "That means I didn't get to learn anything today." And here I thought she only went to preschool to play with her friends. :)

The birthday party's over!
I always breath a sigh of relief when the birthday parties are over. I think all the kids had fun. There seemed to be a lot of happy yelling going on anyway. Now I can get back to sewing again. I made the diva a new dress I'll have to post a picture of her in it. I let her ride her scooter to church and her brother rode his bicycle while I walked. Big brother was great to not get too far ahead, but the diva took off flying down the street as fast as she could go. I don't think she'll be riding the scooter to church again anytime soon. Today is back to school!

My daughter the vegetarian??
DH made a very big mistake the other day. He told the kids what meat was. The muscles of animals he says as I frantically wave my arms in the background. Big Brother just smiles blissfully and pops another bite in his mouth. My darling diva looked sick. She didn't say a word, but didn't eat a bite of meat that night. Now when I fix dinner she asks what we're having. Then her next question "is it meat?" She has not eaten a bite of "meat" since. Not even her beloved chicken nuggets.
Working :)
I'm working on this set again today:
Hopefully I'll finish it up. This has been one of her favorites. Most of the time she will only wear them a few times, but she has worn this one a bunch.

The cupboard door.
Baby boy got into my cupboard today. He pulled everything out, and made a big mess. While I don't enjoy cleaning it up, I must admit it gives me some relief. He also puts the little people in their cars and drives them around the house. Every time I watch him doing these simple things I am reminded of my oldest son. They look so much alike and yet they are so different. Big brother never pulled things out of my cupboards his only interest in cupboards was opening and closing them. I don't think he ever looked inside. My parent's house was heaven on earth for him she has two walls that are just cupboard doors. He would start at one end and open each door until he reached the other end, then turn around and start back. Good luck if you wanted to get something out LOL! Cars were just something to hold the wheels unless they had doors to open and close. Big brother is the sweetest boy alive. Everyone who meets him loves him, but as I watch him struggle to find a place with other children his age, I am relieved bayby boy does not exhibit the same behaviors that his big brother did at this age.

Here is the finished set. The pictures aren't great, but you can get an idea of what it looks like. I can't wait to see how it looks on. I'm sure Angie will do a wonderful job with the pictures! I hope her little cutie likes it.

Sewing without the foot pedal.
Today I sewed without using the foot pedal. I started out using it, but little baby crawled under my sewing table and carried it away! He sat on the floor and put his tiny foot on it and pushed and pushed, smiling all the while. So I unplugged it. I learned that I can just push the go button when the foot pedal is not connected and the machine keeps sewing until I push it again. Kind of nice feature when you have little ones underfoot. It beats unpicking everything because of an unexpected burst of sewing! He is pushing it around the house now, he really loves it. Who needs expensive fancy toys anyway? Here is my little helper:

I think it's time to wash the pedal!

How many bites?
How many bites do I have to eat?
This must be one of the most common phrases used at our house. Every night at dinner time. You would think I'm a bad cook, but I think I actually do a pretty good job with cooking. Not so good at the laundry, but I've always been able to make edible food. So why don't my kids want to eat it?
